Creative Writing 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1
I want to write a novel of length more than 200 pages. At present, all my stories display "The End" flag within a range of 1500 to 2000 words i.e., 5-8 pages. Amateurs like me see no meaning in "using extra paragraphs" for expanding the central theme. We are too used to talking & writing "to the point". Refer to Lebanese literature & you will realise that "Verbose Nothingness" forms a backbone of creative writing !
Compare this with paintings by a junior artist & seasoned painter. Paintings of a junior are almost always low-resolution paintings having no details whatsoever. Certain degree of "abstractness" is amust if an art-lover or book-reader is to loiter around your piece of work. It takes less than a minute for an art-lover to scan a low-resolution painting & move on to the next one.
Same is the case about books. If there's nothing to read between lines, an article looks like a news-paper report having zero literary value. Of course, you cannot become a professional writer if readers get bored by extraneous stuff which merely increases the size of your book.
If you have a flair for creative-writing, you can help me increase the wordage of my stories. You are always welcome at --
