Dombivli East have couple of Petrol Pumps, however for years reasons we dont know, there is no petrol pump in Dombivli West. Dombivlikars have been raising voices for petrol pump in Dombivli West for years now, however their voices seem to be falling on deaf ears. "I need to travel 4 kms to Petrol pump in dombivli East and then back to get petrol", says Anand Parvate, resident of Dombivli West on one of Dombivli Community on Orkut in 2006. Similar comments have been made in various communities online.

Nobody knows the future of Dombivli West, as infrastructure development remaining aloof of this part of the city. May be with new proposed road by MMRDA connecting Mumbra with Dombivli West and Bhiwandi with Dombivli, Dombivli West may see some infrastructure in future, and possibly then a petrol pump.

Meanwhile, dombivlikars have started the campaign. Dashing Dombivli, a group of youth have started a orkut community for people who support Petrol Pump in Dombivli West and also an online petition .

With aim of increasing awareness of traffic rules in citizen, especially young children, Kalyan -Dombivli Municipal Corporation is planning to built a Traffic Garden. This would be the first of its kind in Thane district. For this a plot on Nerurkar road near Matrumandir has been allocated. The traffic garden would be of 1,400 sq. meter in area and would cost around 25 lakh at current prices. The garden would have boards with traffic rules and signal system.  Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation has made similar garden in Ghatkopar.
