Inspired by the Dingli House in Rajkot and Doll Museum in Delhi, Rotary Vikas trust have come up with a Doll Museum in Dombivli. Around 130 dolls representing various ethinic group are in display at Rotary Bhawan in Dombivli. Currently only Indian Culture is displayed, including traditional attires of various tribes like the Bagdi, Bhil, Toda, Santhan etc. Plan is also to introduce Japanese and Chinese dolls.
With aim of increasing awareness of traffic rules in citizen, especially young children, Kalyan -Dombivli Municipal Corporation is planning to built a Traffic Garden. This would be the first of its kind in Thane district. For this a plot on Nerurkar road near Matrumandir has been allocated. The traffic garden would be of 1,400 sq. meter in area and would cost around 25 lakh at current prices. The garden would have boards with traffic rules and signal system. Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation has made similar garden in Ghatkopar.
