1982 saw a number of women coperative organisiation taking up.
Some of them were Kanchangauri Mahila patpedhi which had student
development fund. This year again saw three students claim merit list.
This year saw our proud Dombivlikar Shri Nanasaheb Phadke elected as
refree in Asiad games. 1983 was the year, when Mahesh Desai
ranked first in State in tenth state board. Kalyan municipal
corporation was renamed Kalyan Dombivli Municipal corporation. In 1984
important event improved Dombivli health facility. Indian Dental
association was established here. Dr. Mokashi started Siddhi hospital.
Manav Kalyan Kendra providing medical facility for poor and needy was
established through collective efforts of doctors in Dombivli, which
later in 1991 started a hospital. Efforts Shri Pandit led way to start
of Vidyaniketan school.
Savarkar Sahitya samelan was held here in 1985. Shilalekh from
Dombivli was brought from Prince of Wales museum and was placed near
Gaondevi mandir. During all these years, social grouping and
organization took place and each organization did various cultural
activities. Model college was started in 1988. Shir Nakul Patil was elected as state minister of Maharashtra during this year. 1992
was the year when Babri Masjid demolition took place, subsequently well
known leaders and orators held gatherings in Dombivli. Priti Apte from
S.V Joshi school topped in the state in Tenth board this year.
Construction of footover bridge near Ganesh Mandir was started in 1993. Karandikar sir started Karandikar school of art in 1994.
Construction of underground drainage was started this year. Famous
gathering this year was one held by known and that time municipal
commissionar of Mumbai Mr. Khairnar.
Dombivli local was inaugrated by Shri. Ram Kapse on 1 July 1994. ST
stand was shifted to larger place in MIDC this year. Aarati Mokal was
elected as first lady mayor of KDMC in 1995. Bus transport by KDMC was started the same year.
