Dombivli-Fast took the top prize at the fourth India Film festival held on 23 April 2006 at Los Angeles in Hollywood. It also claimed the Jury Grand prize during the last night celebration of the five day festival. 

Other awards won at this event were Lifetime Achievement award to Sitar player Ravi Shankar, Audience Award for Best Feature to Mr. Kovelamudi's Belly full of dreams, Grand Jury award for Best documentary to Bombay Calling, Audience award to best documentary to Runaway Grooms and Best short film to Lucky.
